God is moving in Africa, and the Heart Sounds International team was able to witness this throughout August. More stories will be coming later, but representatives from HSI had a wonderful time at GCoMM (Global Consultation on Music and Missions) where they taught breakout sessions in an audio media track that connected ideas, methodology and practical applications of ethnodoxology to producing audio (music) in the field, in the studio, for radio and elsewhere.

We are still looking for some more people to join our team to Malawi, October 5-13. Come visit this wonderful nation and help as we share Biblical principles about arts and worship to encourage the local people to worship in indigenous styles. This trip is also a vision trip to learn as much as we can about our hosts so as to evaluate the potential for long-term partnership.

This trip will prioritize Ethnodoxologists & Biblical Theology of Worship Instructors able to teach biblical perspectives about arts and worship as well as those skilled or wanting to gain skills in on-the-ground Ethnodoxology-style research. Those without experience may apply as assistants. Theology instructors will need to work with the ethnodoxologist to adapt teaching.

Intercessors and Photographers/Videographers are also welcome to apply. Intercessor should have a passion for prayer and initiative to prompt the team and workshop participants to pray regularly. For photographers/videographers, amateur or professional level skills in photography and/or videography are needed to document the trip for publication.
